We offer a few different options listed below for cycling the greenway.

Hand sanitiser will be provided, we would appreciate that you would sanitise your hands before approaching the shop area.

We are conveniently based in Newport and we include our shuttle services with every hire.  The greenway between Newport and Achill has proven as the most popular section of the Great Western Greenway and we run our shuttle services back and forth so you can cycle as little or as much as you like.  This service allows you to start or finish your cycle from or at Newport, Nevins of Newfield, Mulranny or Achill Sound.  To give you more flexibility for your day out we offer a drop out or collection service at scheduled times (listed below)  (Pre Booking for the dropout service from Newport is essential)

Pickup in Achill Sound.

11.15am & 5pm

Pickup in Mulranny.

11.25am & 5.15pm

Drop outbound from Newport to Mulranny or Achill.

Hire Rates are outlined below.

Our electric bikes are premium brand Cube, the best currently available in the market.  Due to the value of each e-bike, we require photo id in form of passport of driving licence for hire.  We also require a €75 damage deposit per e-bike that will gladly be refunded provided the bike returns in the same condition it was hired.  This deposit can be pre-authorised on your card in the shop or paid in cash on hire.  Valid photo ID in form of driving licence or passport is also required.  A scan will be taken for security before hire at the shop or can be provided by email on booking.  HD CCTV is in operation at the shop for both customer and staff security.

We have a wide range consisting of Hybrid Bikes, Electric Bikes, Kids Bikes, Child Trailers and Tag-a-Long Bikes.  Bikes can be hired by the day or week.

We have discounted rates for groups of 12 or more including Stag & Hen Parties, Corporate Events & Teambuilding Activities in Westport, Newport, Mulranny or Achill.  Group bookings require a deposit that can be paid by card online at your request.

Normal opening hours are:

Mon – Sun 9.30am – 6.00pm (If you need your booking earlier we will be able to accommodate you)

Late Returns Although the bike shop will be closed at 6pm, bikes can be returned up to 7.00pm on request during summer months by calling the number on your bike.

We are open throughout the summer season and we open for bookings during winter.
